If your stay includes Thursday evening, we kindly ask that you place the bins at the edge of the driveway closest to the street so they are ready for pickup Friday morning. 
If you prefer, I’m also happy to take care of it for you. I would just need brief access to the garage Thursday night to move the bins out, and I’ll return them to the garage Friday morning after they’ve been collected. Just let me know your preference upon check-in.

Your safety is important to us. The home is equipped with the following safety features:

• Exterior security cameras at the front door, driveway, and backyard. No cameras inside the property.
• Smoke detectors and carbon monoxide alarms.
• Noise monitoring devices to help maintain a peaceful environment.
• Fire extinguisher, fire blanket, first aid kit, and emergency flashlight are all located in the kitchen pantry.

Guests are welcome to use the charcoal grill during their stay. Please follow these guidelines for safe use.

How to Use the Charcoal Grill:

1. Place charcoal evenly inside the grill.
2. Use charcoal starter or lighter fluid sparingly to ignite the charcoal.
3. Light the charcoal using a long lighter or match.
4. Allow the charcoal to heat until it turns light gray with ash before cooking.
5. Use grilling utensils to place food safely on the grill.

After Using the Grill:

• Allow the charcoal and grill to cool completely.
• Ensure all coals are fully extinguished before disposing of ashes.
• Please clean the grill grates after use.

Grill Safety Guidelines:

• Never leave the grill unattended while in use.
• Do not place the grill near the home, fences, or flammable materials.
• Keep children and pets at a safe distance.
• Do not use the grill indoors, in the garage, or under covered areas.
• Use the grill only in the designated outdoor area.

The fire pit is available for guest enjoyment. Please follow the instructions below to ensure a safe and pleasant experience.

How to Use the Fire Pit:

1. Use only firewood in the fire pit. Do not burn trash, paper products, or other materials.
2. Keep the fire small and controlled at all times.
3. Use a lighter or long match to ignite the fire safely.
4. Place the fire pit safety screen over the fire while it is burning to help contain sparks and embers.
5. Always remain present while the fire is burning.
6. When finished, fully extinguish the fire with water and ensure all embers are completely out.

Fire Pit Safety Guidelines:

• Never leave the fire unattended.
• Keep children and pets at a safe distance from the fire pit.
• Do not use the fire pit during strong winds or dry conditions.
• Keep flammable items, furniture, and decorations at least 3 feet away.
• If the fire becomes too large or unsafe, extinguish it immediately with water.
• Ensure the fire is fully out before going inside or going to bed.

To help us get the home ready for our next guests…

1.   Please gather all used towels and drop them all in the washer/ laundry basket in the laundry room.

2.   Do not strip the beds. Please leave them as is so it’s easier for us to gather them and know exactly which linens belong to which beds.  

3.   Please ensure all trash (from both inside and outside the home is gathered and placed in the large green bins located in the garage.

4.   Kindly turn off all lights, stove, oven, television and unplug hair dryers and iron.

5.   Please load and start the dishwasher before you leave. 

6.   Please make sure that all doors are completely shut and locked.
